Panamanian saxophonist and composer who was born on August 22, 1978.

He started playing organ at the age of 9, and at 13 he took the saxophone as his main instrument. Perez had studied at the Panama Conservatory of Music, University of Panama, Panama Contemporary School and recently he finish his Master Degree in Jazz Composition at New England Conservatory in Boston, MA. At NEC he studied with Danilo Perez, Charlie Banacos, Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone; and composition with Ken Schaphorst, John Mallia and Michael Gandolfi. Perez was awarded as an outstanding scholarship and enterprise student with the NEC Alumni Tourjee Award.

He was also awarded with an international scholarship from Danilo Perez Foundation. He has performed on several editions of the Panama Jazz Festival, besides one performance at Festival Jazz Plaza in Havana, Cuba, Detroit Jazz Festival, among others. Perez has produced, performed and conducted the Christmas concert “Jazz en Belen” (Jazz at Bethlehem) for the past fifteen years. He has accompanied artist such as Celia Cruz, Ruben Blades, Willie Colon, Gilberto Santarosa, among others. And has performed with jazz artist Danilo Perez, Phil Ranelin, Luisito Quintero, among others.

At the present, he is the Chairman of Music Education at Danilo Perez Foundation.
